Introducing the New Chairman

Its been about five weeks since I became Chairman of the Council and it has been an incredible experience. There are so many events I could talk about but a few of the many highlights include:

Queens 90th - A huge milestone and it was fantastic to see the national celebrations, as well as the numerous street parties which took place throughout Mole Valley

Armed Forces Day - I was privileged to be able to meet some of the local veterans and serving personnel. The Armed Forces do a huge amount for us and getting to recognise and celebrate this is incredibly important

Volunteer Awards - These awards allowed the fantastic work going on throughout Mole Valley by volunteers to be showcased and celebrated. It was incredible to get to speak with these people and hear about their experiences and the incredible achievements of the various charities they support

Ashtead Village Day - This event was a wonderful experience for all ages, with so much going to keep everyone entertained

Young Enterprise - South East Company of the year awards. Celebrating budding entrepreneurs from Kent, Surrey, Sussex and the Channel Islands

Cow Parade - You might have seen a number of colourful cows popping up throughout Surrey and numbers are growing. Recently I've been lucky enough to unveil cows outside Dorking Halls, St Martins Walk and at Denbies. How many can you spot when you are out and about?

If you are planning an event and would like the Chairman to attend, please send him an invitation (via Pippbrook) or contact the Civic Support Staff.
