Claire House & James House Redevelopment - Consultation Announced
Between Thursday 12 July and Friday 27 July 2018 residents, business owners, employees and stakeholders in Leatherhead are invited to take part in the first stage of consultation on the early proposals for the redevelopment of Claire House and James House, Leatherhead.
Councillor Simon Edge, Cabinet Member for Prosperity, said: "The Transform Leatherhead Masterplan identified the redevelopment of Claire House and James House as a key opportunity to create a landmark building and to create a riverside destination close to the town centre. The Transform Leatherhead team have reached a key stage in the design process and would really welcome public views on our current proposals.
"The first stage of consultation will be held in July with two public exhibition events at the Leatherhead Institute and an on-line public consultation. The public exhibitions will take place on Thursday 12 July 2018 between 4pm and 8.30pm and on Saturday 14 July 2018 between 10am and 4.30pm.
"At the exhibitions, visitors will have an opportunity to see, discuss and comment on the current proposals and meet key members of the project team, including the architects, planning consultants, transport consultants and Transform Leatherhead officers.
"The online public consultation will run from Monday 16 July 2018 - Friday 27 July 2018 at www.transformleatherhead.com/claireandjameshouse, where you will be able to view the proposals and comment online.
"This is a first stage consultation and there will be further opportunities to comment on the redevelopment of Claire House and James House. Following the submission of the application for outline planning permission, and subsequently, an application for full planning permission, there will be further formal consultation periods and process. These consultations will all be publicised to enable the public to share their views on the proposals. However, comments at this first stage will be carefully considered as the proposals and the design of the scheme are further developed and prior to any outline planning application being submitted."
