Reporting Progress for 2017/18

Mole Valley District Council has published its informative, new-look Annual Report which sets out progress made in 2017/18, for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors to the district.

The Annual Report details the wide-variety of work carried out by Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) over the past year, in an easily-accessible way, illustrated with photographs and headline facts. The document also sets out the corporate vision, priorities and values, all of which inform MVDC's approach to decision-making and the direction and focus of all work carried out across the district. It is available to view by visiting www.molevalley.gov.uk.

The Annual Report sets out a number of key large-scale areas of work which have been progressed, and in some cases completed, in the last year. Those major projects include, amongst others, the Asset Investment Strategy, the Future Mole Valley Local Plan, Transform Leatherhead, and the Meadowbank Community Football Development in Dorking.

In addition to highlighting MVDC's continued involvement in successful annual events such as Heritage Open Days and Surrey Youth Games, the Annual Report includes a wide-array of ongoing work and successes under MVDC's three priority areas: Environment, Prosperity and Community Wellbeing.

Councillor Vivienne Michael, Leader of MVDC, said: "Despite the ongoing financial challenges that we, and all local authorities face, Mole Valley District Council has continued to punch above its weight continuing and completing a number of significant projects and delivering consistently high performance in key services such as housing and waste collection. The Annual Report 2017-18 successfully captures the wide range of work being carried out on a daily basis to help make Mole Valley, as our corporate vision states, 'a place where people want to live, work, do business and spend their leisure time'"
