Joint Enforcement Team

New Joint Enforcement Team (JET) to work across Mole Valley

In April 2019, Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) will be launching a new JET that will help combat anti-social behaviour and low-level crime in Mole Valley. The new JET team will be tackling issues such as littering, fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and enforcement of Public Spaces Protection Orders, whilst also providing a visible presence to deter would-be offenders and offer educational advice.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey has provided funding for the start-up costs of the Mole Valley JET through its Community Safety Fund which follows the success of similar schemes in Guildford, Reigate & Banstead, Spelthorne, Waverley and Elmbridge. Another team is also being introduced in Epsom & Ewell.

The team will work closely with other agencies such as the Police to provide the community with a fast and effective response to anti-social behaviour issues.
