Leatherhead Leisure Centre Skate Park Refurb
Mole Valley District Council, with support from Transform Leatherhead, is inviting local residents and users of the facilities to take part in plans to refurbish the skate park at Leatherhead Leisure Centre, ready for spring 2020.
Following the well-received improvements to the skate park facilities at Kingston Road Recreation Ground in Leatherhead, Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) has turned its attention to the outdated skate park at Leatherhead Leisure Centre.
The 12-year old skate park equipment at the leisure centre is coming to the end of its life and is in need of modernising.
To better understand what existing and prospective users of the skate park want from the new-look facilities in terms of the look, feel and layout, MVDC is holding a public consultation which you can get involved in. Please tell us what aspect/s of the existing facilities work well, what doesn't and what you would like to see introduced in the finished development when it opens in spring next year.
How can I get involved?
The first stage of public consultation ran until Wednesday 31 July and has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part in this initial stage.
If you weren't able to get involved in the first stage but would still like to have your say on what the new facilities at the Leathehead Leisure Centre will look like, do not worry, there will be a further two stages to come by the end of the year before the winning design is decided upon.
What happens next?
The feedback we receive as part of the first stage of public consultation will be used to help inform a design brief that will then be sent to specialist companies. A second round of public consultation will follow once initial designs from those companies have been received.
All future updates about this project will appear on this page.
