Building Control Service Continues to Excel

Mole Valley's shared Building Control service's latest achievement saw the Partnership celebrate three nominated building projects winning top prizes at the Local Authority Building Control South East Awards held on Friday 21 June; one of which was a restoration and conversion project in Dorking.

The three projects nominated by Southern Building Control Partnership (SBCP)* that went on to win awards, beat off competition from across Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Kent. Over 300 construction professionals gathered at the prestigious Local Authority Building Control (LABC) South East Awards held in Brighton at to celebrate their achievements across the industry.

The three award-winning projects in the Best Conversion project, Best Public Service Building and Best Small New Development categories**, will now go on to the LABC Grand Finals in London in November. This outstanding achievement for the SBCP team follows its recent success of being one of the first Local Authority Building Control Teams to achieve the coveted, and internationally recognised, ISO 9001 certification. The certification was awarded to SBCP as formal recognition of its staff providing a highly professional service to its customers, whilst delivering excellent customer service.
