A package of new training and networking opportunities in Mole Valley for local businesses.
Digital Skills Training
Digital skills training, delivered by Clockwork City, is open to all small and medium enterprises in Mole Valley. The free course is made up of a weekly workshop for up to 15 businesses over four weeks covering, visibility and discoverability in a digital world; marketing to your customers via social media; multi channel marketing; and digital strategy. Also included is a one-to-one session for each business and at the end of the course there are two post-training review workshops.
Training will take place in Dorking on the following dates (please note each course includes four sessions).
- Course 1: 10am - 1pm Mondays 3, 10, 17 and 24 February 2020 - fully booked
- Course 2: 5 - 8pm Wednesdays 5, 12, 19 and 26 February 2020 - fully booked
- Course 3: 10am - 1pm Wednesdays 11, 18 March, 1 and 8 April 2020
- Course 4: 5 - 8pm Thursdays 12, 19 March, 2 and 9 April 2020
Retail Skills Training
A retail skills training course, delivered by the Retail Group, is aimed at local retail businesses, including cafes and service providers. An initial survey of businesses undertaken by the Retail Group will help to identify key themes. This free training comprises one-to-one sessions with each business taking part, resulting in a tailored report identifying actions for implementation, followed by group training on themes such as customer service; creating impact; revenue growth; and effective promotions.
Business Hothouse Programme
The aim of the Business Hot House Programme, co-ordinated by the University of Chichester Business School, is to help develop new or small businesses. The programme includes a range of stimulating and challenging business and personal development activities delivered through a comprehensive package of workshops, start-up boot camps, peer-to-peer sessions and business mentoring from business experts.
Monthly Networking Lunches take place on the first Tuesday of the month, giving local businesses the opportunity to hear relevant guest speakers talk about a current business topic, then network with other local businesses over a light lunch.
These new, free monthly events are designed to support local businesses with specific topics introduced by a speaker, a free light lunch and the opportunity to network. These are held at Dorking Halls, 12 - 2pm.
Future lunch dates: 3 March, 7 April and 5 May 2020.
